NEW RACKING SYSTEM & ELECTRIC FORKLIFT FOR WOKINGHAM-BASED STUNNING SAUNAS

Stunning Saunas needed a smart storage and logistics system put in place for their luxury sauna business. We supplied a full new racking system and hired them a forklift truck to meet their specific requirements.
They were unsure of their specific requirement, but told us that the saunas they sell come flat-packed on large pallets up to 3000mm in length. These are then shipped to site for assembly by trained installers. With that in mind, Simon advised that they would need both a smart storage system and a forklift truck – both of which we could supply.
We provided Stunning Saunas with a long-term hire on a 2.5t electric counterbalance forklift truck with a 5400mm lift height – with full maintenance for complete peace of mind and 2000mm fork extensions to handle the long loads.
Simon collaborated with the customer to design the racking. He explained, “I have some experience with slightly obscure racking layouts and this was one of them. I sourced the racking materials and then we subcontracted out the installation to a trusted partner, which we oversaw.” The final solution included double runs of racking to cope with the packaged saunas, allowing them to store over 40 saunas and other stock off-ground. To keep the layout flexible as Stunning Saunas continue to grow, we left space for the customer to build a mezzanine office and the potential to add more racking in the future.
We are delighted that the client is so happy with the result, and it’s been great to hear that the racking and the truck have been working fantastically for them for the past month.

A successful Monday morning delivery to a new customer in UB6. Training at Welfaux Welfaux employees took part in a Manual Handling Training course to ensure adequate safety, (both in the warehouse and at customer sites), when moving and/or lifting objects and equipment without the use of machinery. First off was the informative slideshow presented by our trainer Ray, followed by a testing of their knowledge and understanding, and then, the practical... All knees bent and straight backs ensured a pass for our team.
